The affect of a respected person can be a powerful and long lasting attitude affect. A marketer of a new detergent might have difficulty persuading a group of people who hold the belief that only the detergent brand Mom used is best. From the marketer's point of view, the learned attitude are negative ones because they can affect receptivity to his product. Despite the Marketers' best efforts; there might be little that can be done to dissuade such a belief if it's strongly ingrained. Learned attitude can be emotionally charged feelings that dictate behaviors which can even baffle the person exhibiting those attitude. When marketers encounter customers with learned negative attitude, they usually write off those groups as not worth the time and effort to target for market. Positive Learned Attitude Customers who have positive learned attitude are an automatic consumer franchise for marketers. They tend to exhibit loyalty and purchase frequently as well as defend the product or service to others who may criticize it. They take demerits as a negative reflection of the individual from whom they learned the attitude.
