When I played soccer at Chemeketa, I sustained a significant injury to my foot in soccer. It was my freshmen year of college when I developed two stress fractures in my right foot. I was placed in a boot for a week. It was very hard for me to sit out and not be with my team. After determining the fractures wouldn’t get worse I was able to do limited practice and play in the games. On 9/19/16 I met Ms. Ostrander at the office of Dr. Hettle PMR. Ms. Ostrander reports she still has pain in the left shoulder, mid back and the low back. Her cervical pain was from a prior cervical surgery. She said that she saw Dr. Schell on 7/12/16 and was coming home from that appointment when she was his in her car. The highly anticipated rookie debut of Ben Simmons will have to wait a little longer than we expected. Simmons suffered an injury to his foot that was caused in practice in early October and he has successfully had surgery to correct it. The timetable for his return has been pegged at three months (via ESPN.com). So, as bad as this is, it could be worse and we will hopefully get to see him play sometime in December or January. Thinking about my life, there is one moment that can be perceived as “suffering”. When I was 10 years old, during January of 5th grade, I was in the hospital for 3 days. I went there due to difficulty breathing through my nose, as well as my vision fading to blackness and me not being able to see.
