The store consists of having two floors which is divided up between their canteen and clothing wear, homeware and electrical ware. The vertical aisles and horizontal aisles are wide and this is mainly because these aisles are used for people coming in to get the product and for people to walk down with their trolleys which allows easy access. Tesco supermarket is similar to H&M as most of their products are already on display being sold on shelves and gondolas. The comparison is that H&M always keep up to date with their fashion clothing, which means old stock goes to clearance and new stock is put out on the shop floor. For Tesco, many food items tend to expire more quickly such as fresh foods with their expiry dates that require once open must be kept for a certain amount of days and out of date foods go to waste. Ikea also like to keep up their furniture trends by emphasis new ideas and how they are able to display products to get customers attention which is similar to both Tesco and H&M. Ikea is not a clothing shop, so they do not provide fitting rooms. Tesco and H&M provide customers with fitting rooms which allow customers to try the clothes at the back of the store and it is allocated with mirrors and visual lightning to allow the customer to see what the clothing looks like on and the way the fitting room is presented can reflect what kind of store it is by the merchandising around it.
