    Stereotypes In Cartoons

Thinking of You Small waist, round hips, an hourglass shape. This is the ideal shape that women in cartoons are supposed to have. If they're considered evil or bad, they're more curvy like me. So am I evil? Cartoons seem to have a way to share a secret message that we don't see unless we're looking closely. The message that you're not beautiful unless your skin is light, you have a small waist, and have long skinny legs. This is one of the many ones you can get from watching closely. As kids we don't notice this. To us it was another character needed to bring the movie along. It seems to me that they don't think we notice, this which is partially true. Most of us don't but now we're coming to realise what they are doing. In the movie The Little Mermaid, Ariel was a light toned, thin mermaid with a nice figure, while Ursula (the villain) was more curvy with a slight difference in skin tone. Meaning she was dark, this made Ursula jealous of the beauty and voice Ariel had, jealous of her life in general. So Ursula decided to take away all the characteristics Ariel had that made her beautiful, causing her to be like Ariel. To me this all seems a bit silly, why do women mainly have to be the ones with conflict over the others looks? I guess to them that's the only way to keep the viewer interested. To keep someone like me watching. Although I love The Little Mermaid, I can't continue to watch something that brings down women's appearances. Making them seem as though they are…

originals in rapunzel the price is push out of the tower and falls in thorns stabbing him in the eyes making him blind. In cinderella the stepsisters cuts the toes to make them fit in the shoes and with little red riding hood they put rocks in the stomach of the wolf killing him when he went to stand up. The ending can also be tragic like in little mermaid where she has to kiss her true love or else she with die but soon she finds out the prince is planning to marry someone else so she is…

All three students have strengths in being very observant in class. This notifies me that I need to engage the class is a discussion. A debate or Socratic seminar might work best for this class and especially these three students because of how vocal they are. However, their weaknesses and the ways in which these three learn are very different. I would never be able to pair Aiden and Logan because Aiden is dependent on another person, and Logan is independent and works best by working alone.…

did what was best for his image instead of his family. Instead of loving his family unconditionally he washed his hands clean now he is the one all alone because of it. people are going to disagree in something but I am a strong believer on being slow to speak and fast to listen. For example, I recently had a conflict with my manager at my current job because I had asked her in advance for a day off and it was approved, but once the schedule came out, I was schedule to work that day. I calmly went to her office and I brought it up to her attention, she explained to me that she really needed that day and I was upset because I needed to have that day off to…

Who Am I ? “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” Dr. Seuss once wrote this poem which was music to my ears growing up. It fascinated me to think that in this gigantic world filled with 7 billion people that I was the only Amanda A Laryea to ever walk its surface. Until about 8 years later on a random Facebook search, I found about four other individuals who share my name. However, our similar names do not connote similar personality…

Introduction It is widely accepted in the Christian faith that mankind is created in the image of God. When an individual believes this, they can use their understanding of this doctrine to determine how to interact with people in their day-to-day lives. After I graduate, my goal is to become an Elementary Teacher. As a teacher I will interact with my students, other teachers, administration, and my students’ parents/guardians. I think it is also important to know how to interact appropriately…
