The Fault In our Stars. John Green was born on August 24, 1977 and is still alive today at age 39. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is the son of Mike and Sydney Green. Soon after he was born, his family moved to Michigan and then later to several other states. He grew up in Orlando, Florida, and when we was 14, the family moved to Birmingham, Alabama, and John attended Indian Spring boarding school. Later, he graduated from Kenyon College in 2000 with a double major in English and Religious Studies. At Kenyon College, he met his wife, Sarah Urist Green, and they married on May 21, 2006. After graduation, he lived several years in Chicago, where he worked for the book review journal, Booklist, as a publishing assistant and production editor. It was when he wrote his first novel, “Looking For Alaska”. Later, he moved to New York with Sarah for her to pursue graduate studies at the Columbia University, and he found work with the New York Times Book Review and worked for the NPR, assisting in the creation of the radion essays All Things Considered. He now lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife and two children, Henry and Alice. They also have a Ferrier named “Willy”.
