    Hitler created the "degenerate art" exhibit as a way to educate people and cleanse the nation of degenerate influences. Hitler believed in art that was classical and despised art that was considered modern. He believed that "modern art was the expression of sick minds". A few artists Hitler identifies as “degenerate” are Kandinsky, Kirchner, and Klee. Kandinsky was a fan of using bright colors and having line, colors, and shapes not make a physical object but rather using it as abstract art. Kandinsky wanted to show the world the “inner mystical construction of the world.” A good example of what Hitler would have not liked is Kandinsky’s Blue Mountain.
