    this particular book because I enjoy the darker stories and occasional horror movie. With the upcoming Halloween day, I couldn’t have picked a more appropriate book. This story focuses on two teenage boys and an adult, all of which are preoccupied with their ages. Jim and Will are teenage boys who want to be more mature and older. Will’s father Charles has a desire to be younger and has an obsession with it. The beginning of the story sets the stage for a twisted ride at a mysterious carnival they’ll never forget. Ray Bradbury captivates and entertains with his descriptive and uncharacteristic writing. I’ve been a fan of fictional and non-fictional writings and movies from an early age. I’ve enjoyed stories ranging from Stephen King to Dean Koontz. This is my first Bradbury story and I was easily entertained by his literature style and dark, descriptive writing. I wasn’t really sure once I picked the title seeing it was rated for people aged 14 and up. I was certainly surprised and enjoyed the book throughout. I felt a connection to Bradbury while reading, knowing that he inserted some fictional information from his childhood and growing up in Illinois. It made me wonder what was real and what wasn’t, adding to the overall mystery of the story. Some of his punctual and grammatical usages throughout make you wonder what he was really trying to convey or the purpose of it. Did he attempt to captivate by imitating Shakespeare or was Ray creating his own unforgettable style?…
