    feels like somebody has ripped my heart out from my chest. I want to fall to the floor and break into a million pieces, but I know it’s my onus stay strong so that my little brother will too. “Just, please, let him be okay.” It was just an ordinary day for my family. My dad left at 10:00am for work and my mom had the day off. I was doing what I usually do on hot summer days, watching Netflix. I could watch the Maze Runner a million times. At about noon, I walk out of my room and ask, “Mom, what’s for lunch?” “We’re having your favorite, Caesar salad.” “Fantastic!” I absolutely love Caesar salad. I could eat it every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I devour my salad and finish it within five minutes. The crisp lettuce and crunchy croutons were delicious. After lunch, I head back to my room and continue watching Netflix. I just start watching the movie Click when my mom frantically rushes into my room crying and says, “ Your dad has fallen off a ladder and is being rushed to the hospital.” The next thing I know I’m sprinting out of my room and we’re in the car racing to the hospital. Right as I enter the hospital, I can feel the loneliness lingering through the halls. The smell of the gross cafeteria food instantly overcomes me. My dad is being examined, so we can’t go visit him yet. Sitting in the waiting room, I rock back and forth as I shudder at the thought of him falling.
