    • 4 Pages

‘Edgework’ is a model that explores the interplay of emotions, identity, risk, and crime (Ferrell, Hayward, & Young, 2015). This idea would imply that “people push themselves to the ‘edge’ and participate in edgework [or risk] in search of a ‘adrenaline rush’ and identity” (Ferrell, Hayward, & Young, 2015). This explains the feeling that people experience when they creep on other’s profiles for information. It’s the thrill of not getting caught and the satisfaction of finding the information that they were looking for. This sort of edgework makes people feel like they have a purpose or identity. For Nosey Rosey it makes her feel like a detective, for Momma Bear it give her the satisfaction of finding a criminal and getting revenge, for Fitness Freak it’s the admiration of others, for Payton its gaining knowledge about someone she doesn’t like, and for Ms. Independent it’s about making sure a man never plays her again. All these emotions lead them to participate in the edgework of creeping and gives them an additional propose. Transgression and Control Creeping is an everyday transgression that causes tensions between the law and what…

The Creeps mixes a little bit of dark humor, a lot of outright uncanny fears, and a fascinating art style in this collection of comics. Yours truly is pretty sure it's actually impossible to know every single comic artist working on the Internet these days. Do Stalker Ads Creep You Out? A few months ago I decided to leave home and rent out some office space. I splurged and bought a new office equipment, furniture and general supplies. I’m an avid online shopper and Amazon.com is one of my best friends. Sometimes Amazon can get a little creepy when it decides to stalk me. Over the next month as I settled into the new office, I kept seeing ads for trash cans, binder clips and desk chairs. Amazon went above and beyond in making sure that I had a place…

Hope Creep misleads project managers into thinking that the allocated work is on schedule” (Management-hub.com, 2014). This is typical because workers on a project do not like to disappoint their manager and tell themselves that they will be able to make up the lost time or missed work. This is very dangerous to a project especially if the project manager is not always present at the work site to perform a hands-on progress analysis. An example of Hope Creep would be a programmer failing to meet…

During the creep, the plastic deformation takes place with a steady load while in normal situations, plastic deformation would rely on an increasing load. Creep experiments are always done at a constant stress or load. The research team inspected the shell for corrosion and any other metallurgical signs of failure but none were found.
