Las Vegas, Nevada—the city known for its flamboyant nightlife and never-ending party—instills a fictional reputation for those living outside of the city. Tourists often see the beauty and elegance proudly marketed by Las Vegas; the city does what it does best—put on a show. The city does nothing more than put a façade to hide the failure to serve our community. How long has the organization been in existence? Please briefly describe the history of the organization. Founder and CEO, Sheldon G. Adelson and his partners founded the computer trade show, ‘COMDEX’ in 1979. Ten years later, he had made enough money to buy the famous Sands Hotel and opened up a Sands Expo and Convention Center across from it.
