It is a joyful, yet scary time for teens and parents because of the bad rap teen drivers have; which is, teens behind the wheel of a car can make for a deadly ride. Teens getting their licences is a huge weight lift off of their parents shoulders, but it is quickly followed by stress. The article states that, “Sixteen-year-old drivers are more likely to be involved in an accident than any other age group” (“Teen Drivers” par 5). This is because it takes time to get good at driving, just like anything else. As time goes on the new drivers begin to get a feel for the road and know how to drive safely.
