On the other hand, housing is also a huge challenge for the refugees. The unaffordable rent in Metro Vancouver made the shabby life of the refugees worsen. They need to share a space with up to twelve members. Many refugees are forced to stay at a temporary shelter and wait for an average of two to three months to move into a new house since permeant house are difficult to find. Syrian refugees are distributed in every city of Metro Vancouver, the majority has been resettled in Surrey. Surrey: 899 Coquitlam: 185 Abbotsford: 154 Burnaby: 145 Vancouver: 132 Langley: 85 Delta: 84 New Westminster: 33 Chilliwack: 27 Maple Ridge: 19 Mission: 10 Richmond: 8 Port Coquitlam: 7 Approximately sixteen percent of Syrian refugees have the tendency of depression. The foreign environment and cultural context has unavoidably effected their emotion. There is a wide cultural gap between the two cultures. They are longing to feel the sense of belonging in this unacquainted city. Furthermore, apart from the basic living and emotion, financial issue is the most prevalent challenge that Syrian migrants face.
