In December of 1777 to June 1778, Washington’s Winter Camp for the Continental Army was holding 12,000 men, which was called Valley Forge and it was 18 miles off of Pennsylvania. They built 16 by 14 cabins that held 12 men, and there was no bed just mud and straw. Valley Forge was a very difficult place to live, one is that there was “poor food” and there was no ventilation in their crowded cabins.
