    Pay and Women’s Soccer: The Huge Difference Did you know that the US women’s soccer team has won four Olympic Gold medals and three World Cup championships in this decade and are consistently being paid less than the men, who have never won any major title? The fact is when it comes to soccer is that the US women national team are much better than their male counterparts and are still made to feel that they are less superior. How would you feel if you were the best at something at the highest level and were not paid according to your work ethic and talent? Not only do women statistically get paid much less than men, but they are also mothers and caretakers while working and doing jobs professionally. Every single women soccer player worked extremely hard to get to the place where they are today, so don’t you think that they should be paid equally to the men professionals for doing the exact same thing? It is in no doubt in my mind that all women soccer players should be paid the exact same amount of money regardless of the level to give women the equal pay they deserve. The US women’s national soccer team and the women’s soccer teams apart of the NWSL are playing at the highest level possible in the women’s game of soccer. Women are actually paid “almost half as much as men” (White 2).
