Non-profit organizations serve the community in many different ways, such as day to day necessities, housing, and education and mental health. They help with day to day necessities when they give away food from food pantries for anyone in need. Food pantries can also include other items such as cleaning supplies for your home, laundry detergent, toothpaste, tissue, and soap. They have boxed food for the elderly that they may take to senior living communities to pass out. In addition to the elderly they also have food for veterans sometimes a couple of times a week.
