The Blacktip Reef Shark is native to the tropical coral reefs of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. The Blacktip is listed under kingdom animalia, phylum chordata, class Chondrichthyes, order Carcharhiniformes, family Carcharhinidae, and genus Carcharhinus.
