These points are quite distinctive. They were made from Jasper, obsidian, and any number of other brittle stone. Generally, these Clovis points have been discovered in numerous locations across North America, the oldest being discovered in Texas and dated back 13,500 years ago. It is theorized that the Clovis first got to the New World from Siberia when the Bering Strait from there to Alaska was covered in ice from the ice age and not covered in water like it is now.
