What is Shamanic Drumming?
My passion for all things drumming was sparked Christmas Day 2000, when I was a wide-eyed three-year-old boy. The living room was a complete mess with wrapping paper strewn in every direction and a mass of empty cardboard boxes stacked in the corner. There was one gift left sitting under the tree, a rectangular box, roughly the size of a basketball. Little did I know that what was concealed in that…
celebration is Christmas, Most of the people are catholic and they start going to the church each morning at five from December 16 to December 25. Venezuelan celebrate Christmas on December 24 in midnight gathering in a house with family in a big meal listening to Gaita music, and exchanging presents. Children believe Jesus brings gifts on December 25 instead of Santa Claus. Also Venezuelan has food Traditions, Arepa; a corn pancake fried, baked or grilled. Hallacas is a typical plate in…
Chapter 54 (A Beautiful Woman In The Snowfall)
Although it had been four years, but my skills were still very nimble!
I quickly stepped one foot on the small tree, and with the help of the tree, I bounced onto the top of the wall, positioning myself mounting the wall that was covered with snow. I looked inside the campus. Not a single person was in sight. The students and teachers should be still having a nice dream. There was only me, this hard working person who had been woken up by the…
As the holidays draw near, the feelings of warmth and security an individual gets when surrounded by those closest to them are noticeably fainter than they have been in previous years. It seems that as time goes on, the familial aspect of the holidays, especially Thanksgiving, has been watered down in order to make it more marketable to consumers. Also, the day itself is now practically ignored in order to make room for more profitable traditions such as Black Friday. Capitalism, commercialism,…
Waking up to the smell of Thanksgiving dinner as it cooks, is like being a little kid waking up on Christmas morning and finding presents under the tree. As I go downstairs and see my mom preparing the food for our Thanksgiving dinner, a smile spreads across my face. Just the sight of my mom washing the greens, and pouring cake batter into the pan, makes…
Medieval Christmas (Intro)
Most holidays during the medieval period were determined by the Church including Christmas. Christmas in medieval England was very different to modern day Christmas. It was the church that ensured that it was celebrated as s true religious holiday instead of just being a simple feast for peasants to enjoy themselves.
Medieval Christmas History
There was no established imperial religion until the birth of Christianity. When Christianity took over the empire, the church…
Have you ever wondered what Christmas would be like from the tree’s perspective. Well, suspicions can now be put to rest because this is the tale of a tree’s life at Christmas. This is the story about the most memorable time of my life. In this story you will learn of how I was cut down, watched a family’s Christmas, and when the time came, had to say goodbye.
It was in the midst of a frostbitten November afternoon, when I heard a rustling in the nearby bushes. I figured it was a deer or…

The Christmas Vespers was based on the nine lessons which were Christmas carols. It also included reading from the scripture. The main idea of the Christmas Vespers was to embrace the birth of Jesus and the fall of man kind. Instead of just telling the story through the scripture music was added appositely to the nine readings. This rendition of the Christmas Vespers was exceptionally enjoyable.
The show opened up with the Adam giving into the temptation to Eve and the apple.…
Mr. DeBore, who is wearing khaki dress pants with a light blue dress shirt, and a blue and tan designed tie. Behind him is a bright green wall covered with posters of cheat-sheets with different subject matter we cover in class and see in our sheet music every day. As he begins to start warm ups, like we do every morning, a thought comes to his mind and as usual, he trails off to a totally different topic. It was getting close to ACTs and student testing; it was my freshman year, and I haven’t…
