    Celtic polytheism or paganism compromises of many different religions and beliefs of the Celts. There are so many different beliefs that there is said to be no official creation myth in Celtic mythology. The myth being analyzed here is just one of many. This particular creation myth can be classified as a deus faber myth. Creation myths classified as deus faber myths generally liken their god to a craftsman in the way he creates the world. The gods in this particular myth create humans and animals from the bark of an Oak tree. The gods also create bows, arrows, clubs, thunderbolts, and harps from that same tree.
