    school (“BBC Andreas Vesalius”). Vesalius started school at age six and attended Catholic Brothers of Common Life School in Brussels for nine years. During school he met his wife, Anne Van Hamme and had one child together, a daughter named Anne, in 1545 (“Famous Scientists”). Andreas Vesalius died on October 15th 1564, at age 49. He attended a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and upon arrival on the boat he became very sick and died a short while late (“Famous Scientists”). He was buried on the island of Zacynthus, also known as the Republic of Venice, and is now called Greece (“Andreas Vesalius: Belgian Physician”). Andreas started college at a very young age; at 15 years old he attended his first college, Louvain University, 20 miles east of Belgium (“Famous Scientists”). In 1532 he graduated from Louvain with an arts degree and was later accepted into the University of Paris’s medical school. Vesalius attended Paris’s University in 1533 at the age of 19, working for his medical degree (“BBC Andreas Vesalius”). Many events took place in 1536 for Vesalius’ life; he impressed his professor so much that his professor asked Vesalius for help in finishing his book, Institutiones Anatomicae, it was later published. Along with the publishing of the book at the University of Paris, war broke out between France and the Holy Roman Empire, forcing Andreas to leave college and continue his studies back at Louvain University (“Famous Scientists”).
