After the flags passed, two baton twirlers preceded the rest of the SIU cheerleaders. The baton twirlers performed a coordinated routine which started with the music played by the Salukis Marching band. These two twirlers rotated their batons very fast, then they tossed them into the air and jumped to catch it before it dropped to the floor.
