The goal of is simple step was to allow both the Course Instructor and I to monitor all internal and external communication going in and out of the class, while at the same time, confidently know what is going on with the show if the clients have questions. On two different instances, the Advertising & Marketing Director failed to pursue this request and did not carbon copy the Course Instructor and I. As a consequence, we were approached by the client with a question regarding two issues that neither of us knew any knowledge of what information he was sent through the email. This uncertainty gave the perception that we do not know what is going on with the show. Gratefully, the event was settled rather quickly and these incidents were taken up to the classes. Research has proven that effective communication within a group has to use the same media. The media should match the capability of understanding the message (Draft & Lengel, 1986, p. 563-564). The students did not fully comprehend the importance for carbon copying the both of us. In order for this not to happen again, we are going to add carbon copying a requirement in the syllabus.…
