If I was going on a trip West in the 1800’s I would bring many significant items to live on. First of all, I would bring 1,000 pounds of food so, I would not starve. I have been very fond of Scout and Jem for a while now, I’ve been wanting to play with them but I don’t like to leave my house. On Halloween night, I was sitting in my chair and I heard some scuffling going on outside. Immediately I rushed out and found a grown man attacking Scout and Jem. Other activities this summer included a new-found sport, competitive mounted orienteering. It’s a treasure hunt on horseback. The idea is to use clues and compasses to find designated objects the fastest. Dave and I aren’t fast, but we had fun doing this a couple times. Spring is here and many of our friends and neighbors are pulling the outdoor cooking equipment out of storage. Before long, families and friends will gather round the fire-pit to enjoy s'mores and memories as the sun sinks below the horizon, and others are dreaming of loading up the outdoor grill with tender cuts of meat and garden-fresh veggies just begging for roasting. It was a team event where every team had 4 members and each member had to make one figure-of-eight before giving the bike to his other team member to do the same. Throughout high school, I did not have much direction in regards to what I wanted to do with my life. I had bounced around ideas of possible careers, but nothing seemed to fit. I knew that I loved my summer job as a camp counselor. However, that is not a profession I could maintain after high school.
