    died when she was 18 in 51 B.C. leaving her 11 year old brother, Ptolemy, as a nominal king (Rake 23). After three years of being in power, Ptolemy died by drowning in the canal (Rake 23). Since her father died, Cleopatra and her brother, Ptolemy VII, were made king and queen which caused many problems. After coming into power, Ptolemy VII and his supporters helped exile Cleopatra (“Cleopatra”). Cleopatra went to Julius Caesar while she was exiled, and he helped her back to the throne by overpowering and drowning Ptolemy (“Cleopatra”). Cleopatra was very fond of Roman rulers, so when Julius Caesar died she moved on to Mark Antony very quickly. Julius Caesar was charmed by Cleopatra and they had an affair when she became pregnant with Caesarion, which means “Little Caesar” (“Cleopatra”). When Caesar died, Mark Antony requested for Cleopatra in Tarsus, and when she arrived he fell in love with her (“Cleopatra”). When Cleopatra was queen, her chaotic family and her love life served as many distractions. Adly Mansour has made Egypt better but not without problems such as the brotherhood and security. By pushing back curfew and bringing the government to a non-police state, Mansour has earned trust from his citizens. Mansour told the press that Egypt will no longer have a “police state” along with civilians not be tried in military courts (“Old Ways Return”).
