Monica stayed in Paris for a few months. But she eventually decided to travel through time and space. Monica's space-time-dimension ship landed in a town, located on planet Oberon. Tall cylinder buildings that were built out of shiny metal surrounded the ship. "Stupid ship," Monica said. "You never takes me where I want to go. Monica took a deep breath. "I might as well go explore," Monica said to herself. "Oberon's a big planet, so I don't think the Kratos government will find me." Monica stepped out of her ship and she wandered around. It wasn't long until Monica entered a park. Monica and a young woman with long black hair were the only two people who were there. At the park, Monica saw two trees with pink leaves that were close together. "It looks like those trees are kissing," Monica said. "Those are the kissing trees," the woman said. "Anyway, we should leave. It's getting dark and the park isn't safe at night." Monica returned to her ship, but it disappeared. "Where is it?" Monica asked herself. "Monica?" "Frank?" Frank was standing in front of Monica. "How did you get here?" Monica asked. "After you try to kill your sister, I went for a walk," Frank said. "I suddenly fell down a black hole. After that, I came out of a white hole, and I ended up in a field." "Can you show me this field?" "Sure. Follow me." Monica followed Frank to the field for several minutes. Eventually, they came to the field. "There it is," Frank said. "I don't believe it,"…

My decision to read Alice Echol’s “Scars of Sweet Paradise: The Life and Times of Janis Joplin” was sparked by my interest in the 27 Club. The 27 Club refers to a number of popular musicians who died at the age of 27, often as a result of drug or alcohol abuse. Janis Joplin is the first of three members of the 27 Club that I am going to write my life studies on. Janis Lyn Joplin was an American singer-songwriter. She rose to fame in the late 60’s as the lead singer of the psychedelic rock band…

I have always been a K9 lover. It never fails to amaze me how ordinary people trade in dogs for these hissing, stubborn, self-centered felines we call cats. Dogs embody characteristics that we wish all humans could possess: unconditional love, joy, unabashed love of life, and never being one to rush to judgment. Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them, filling an emptiness we don 't even know we have. Ryder is my good boy. Ryder is an Australian Shepherd, who has coloring the same…

It all started one morning I was getting up and going in the kitchen to get coffee. I heard a silent groan and I got scared. I went and checked what it was and I saw a man who looked like he got burnt. So I slowly went back in my room and woke up my husband Junior. When I woke him up he was confused on why I was so scared. That’s when he sat up and asked me what happened. I froze in a dead because I was too scared. Then I started stuttering because I was trying to explain it. “I I I saw a guy…

February 6, 2015 will always be a significant day in my life. It was a Friday, and it was also the day my aunt Pam lost her life to a tough battle with multiple different types of cancer. It was heartbreaking news, and all I wanted to do after finding out was go lay in my bed and cry. However, that 's not what happened, and the day was long from being over. It was a sunny, somewhat chilly Friday afternoon, and I was supposed to be dismissed early from my 7th period class to board the basketball…

Participation Trophies Hinder Kids "If I play a whole game I get a whole snow cone, but if I play a half a game I still get a whole snow cone. It's a whole snow cone either way. I'd rather play half a game." This quote is from one of Brian Regan's performances, "Lousy in Little League", where he talks about the new social norm of rewarding children for participating. While Brian Regan is a comedian, and this was meant to be funny, it does have some truth. Just as Brian Regan said, children…
