    The original Super Mario Brothers game was released in 1985 on the Nintendo Entertainment System as a platformer. The protagonist is Mario, a plumber caught in the troubles of the Mushroom Kingdom. In the game, the player must jump through multiple levels and defeat bosses to achieve the final goal of saving the Princess. Throughout the many Super Mario games, many other characters have been introduced such as Yoshi, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Toadstool, also known as Princess Peach.
