happen to be ignorant in the field of survival, especially considering that, if we’re lucky, there will be remains of civilization left when those accepted into the bunker are released and walk the possibly ruined ground. As for the ways in which I am acquainted with the ways of survival, the major one seems to be that I know how to purify water. Now I know that this is very common knowledge, but it’s good to mention so that there is no sneaking suspicion that I don’t know how. I also know how to create odd little traps and knots to bind things together, which is yet again common knowledge. Still, I’m fairly confident that I know more knots than the average person, who most likely only know the shoelace knot, square knot, slip knot, and bowline knot. I, however, know things like the thieve’s knot, barrel hitch, butterfly knot, figure eight, and a girth hitch. Knots aren’t all though. I’ve participated in a plethora of shooting events, including guns and bows. I seem to be more adept at wielding a bow though, despite the gun being seemingly more simple. I happen to have my own compound bow as well, which I have been practicing with since I was 13. Doesn’t seem like a long time, but I have practiced with compound bows in the past, just not the ones with the same design and draw weight as the one I currently use with a draw weight of 50 lbs. I have more talents, I’m sure of that, but I just haven’t discovered them yet. And like any human, I have flaws. If one thing is for…

Indeed, I am now over the age of 50, when I reflect back, I see that being an Eagle Scout is one of the few things from my youth that continues to benefit me today – and at first glance I must admit that this seems rather strange. However, upon deeper reflection I think that I understand why this is so, and I think you will too. You see, while…

Explore, dream, discover.” That is exactly what I have been…

difference between a successful person and others is not lack of strength, not lack of knowledge but rather lack of will. In order to succeed your desire should be greater than your failure. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than the ones you did do. A…
