    Blue Rock School was founded in 1987 in South Nyack, New York. The school was created on an old farm. It’s a very small progressive school. Teachers want their students to not only “become good learners but also good people”. They focus on other things than strict education such as relationships between children, but also between teachers and their students. Furthermore, they have more hands on learning and more freedom. They don’t use testing as evaluation because a test does not show capacity of a child. In addition, they don't believe in punishment and would rather do positive reinforcement instead of putting the students in a terrible position.
