Hornswoggle Problem In this paper I will examine “The Hornswoggle Problem” in which Patricia Chruchland makes some strong claims on the argument about consciousness. I agree with Chruchland’s argument on about that Chalmers argument on consciousness isn’t a good argument. my conclusion is that Chalmers makes some valid points which helps make his argument an ok one but not strong enough for it to be a good one. I will show parts of what Chalmers is saying is a valid to his argument and what Chruchland’s find to be insufficient support for these ideas. On the part of her argument that I agree with. Chruchland’s idea that all arguments from ignorance is a bad argument I agree with it. Churchland is saying that even thou we have seen sciences progresses they still haven’t progressed…

It wasn’t just perspective that came into play. “Well, if people wanted to understand the text— understand how it related to their lives— they had to rejuvenate it. They had to retell the stories. The art of…

When it comes to faith, people are often exhorted to have the faith of Abraham, the father of three of the largest religions in the world. His story in Genesis is celebrated for his unyielding belief in God’s divine plan which is what sets him aside as a figure to which all can aspire. However, his actions and choices seem a bit questionable. God’s command to kill one’s own son is fundamentally unreasonable given the premise that God is all good, and Abraham’s willingness and lack of objection…

The Scriptures are meant to be taken in context and deeper meanings can be drawn when various stories are considered and connections are drawn between passages. This is often the case with New Testament readings in light of Old Testament readings in the Bible. In addition to revealing Jesus in control of his actions, the irony of Pontius Pilate’s words, and the universality of Jesus’ kingship, the description of the inscription on Jesus’ cross in John 19:16b-22 also exposes Jesus’ willingness…

Skiing is a great way to exercise, yet have fun. I ski because I like the feeling of going really fast down a steep snow covered hill and catching really big air. I like any type of skiing, downhill, cross country, even backcountry. I love the feeling I get when I am in the air for a long time. I also like the vibe that a ski resort gives off. There are the ski bums(that are there everyday), the crazy ski team kids that send it off anything, and the first timers, everyone is having fun. I like…
