I stood awkwardly in the living room with a bunch of Ariana 's friends and family. She sat beside me, holding onto my arm. It was Thanksgiving and she invited me there, since my family never celebrates Thanksgiving, I decided to go.
"Yeah, we 're leaving for Michigan tomorrow to go meet my dad." Ariana smiled, looking up at me.
"Are you nervous?" Mac asked her and she nodded her head fast. "Of course, I haven 't seen him in five years. I wonder if he looks different, I want to know what his wife is like, I 'm definitely scared." She laughed slightly and her aunt put her hand on her knee.
"It 'll be fine sweetie, I know he misses you." Ariana smiled slightly at her, not letting go of my arm. She knew I was nervous, I was practically meeting her whole family. I suddenly heard the front door open.
"Oh my god! Mom, it smells like heaven in here." I heard a man 's voice as Ariana screamed, jumping up and sprinting to the front door. I watched as a man with blonde, spiked hair stepped in, opening his arms as Ariana jumped, wrapping herself around his body. I recognized him as her older brother.
"Frankie! I missed you so much!" I heard her sobs into his shoulder, making me smile. "You missed me? I missed you like crazy, Ari!" He spun her around before setting her back down and she kissed his cheek. "You 're here! I can 't believe you made it!" She smiled, wiping her tears away and hugging him again.
He laughed and looked over her shoulder at me, he looked confused and I bit…
Solis"(: we headed back and I meet your brother and mom which was cool now I know where you get your great personality from. It was nice to have a conversation with them, to be honest, it made me less afraid of boot camp and prepared. Over the phone you somehow talked about eating a banana and that your friends record people. That soon escalated when you said, "si asi se hace mija" I died! It was all fun and games until you got Saturday school and couldn't hang out on Tuesday night. But…
Did you lose weight while you were attending the DPP, and has your weight changed since then?
Christine: I lost four pounds and I kept that off. I lost that the second week and now I am jut stable and stay at the four. I get my book our every now and then, but like I said, it is such a hassle to track all of these grams and keep my calories down too. That was another thing, if I keep around one thousand to eleven hundred calories, I could lose the weight, but if I stayed at the twelve hundred,…
I remember the night when you were coming back from what I later found out was the Blue Crew party and I was just going out. I am walking out of Kiewit and all of a sudden this very cute girl told me I had beautiful eyes! What! That does not happen very often to me or even ever. All I could say was Thank You! For the rest of the night when I was out, all I could think about was who this girl was and I knew that I had to take control and know this person. Luckily, I had one friend on the 9th…
Take out the mug out of the microwave, caution: the product will be hot.
Stick a toothpick into the center of the brownie. If the brownie still sticks to the toothpick, microwave in increments of 5 seconds and then poke the center of the brownie once again. The toothpick should smoothly guide out of the brownie. The outer layer of the brownie should be firm to hold its shape, but soft enough to crumble.
Preparing the Brownie Mug in different ways (all optional):
Garnish the mug with toppings,…
One of my all-time favorite songs is Real Love by Mary J. Blige. In it she details her quest for love, and describes the real love she has been searching for. I completely understand how she felt; as I search for real love. Through the process, I learned some valuable lessons; and gained wisdom on this quest. I want to use this post to share some things that I learned on this journey.
Be what you are searching for!
I always tell my friends, “You have to be a whole person before…
I love you,
And I hate you.
I love that you were my father, but I hate you because you left me too soon.
Now I’m fighting this big typhoon of emotions and fear.
Now I know, I will never be immune.
I, of five children, knew so little about when God was going to call your name.
The morning of a bright sunny day.
Waking up to have you in the kitchen burning toast
And setting the fire alarm off.
“Dad the toast!” I yelled, trying so desperately to see where I was going.
One would yell and scream, in…
“I’m speaking of Betty and her son’s dead dog.”
“Isn’t that the one you killed?” Mike asked knowing she would never admit it.
“The dog is dead who cares who did it. It’s done.”
“Now, do you think you can smooth things over?” Mike asked. “You’re the one that killed the boy’s dog. You can’t expect her to ignore that.”
“Sorry, but I convinced Betty that I didn’t do it. I will take care of it. At least, I can try. You understand money and expensive things are what influences women like us.”…
Growing up I was always scrawny, even before my growth sprout I was still considered slender. So elementary school for me wasn't always fun because I was extremely insecure about almost everything, mainly my voice. I still am just not as much. And on top of that, I was picked on alot. Anyways so when I got into middle school this was a fresh start for me, no-one knew me in that school but my boy Jonathan. Now this school I went to was new for the most part but the students weren't because they…
I had been hanging out with Luke, when I got an call from an unknown number. I don't really care who calls, it could be one of the girls I've been using as rebounds.
"Hello?" I answered, Luke giving me a questioning glance.
"Hi Calum, I am Blake Niler and I was Mallory's counselors. I was wondering if we could meet up to talk today?" This is probably going to be one of Mallory's attempts to get me back and make me help with the baby.
"Where? Actually, more importantly why?" I was…
