    "Roy Cooper, The One" Roy Cooper is fighting to become the new Governor of North Carolina, and he's well qualified for the role. Cooper has been North Carolina's Attorney General, since 2001. In this role Roy Cooper has facilitated the process of bringing justice to North Carolinians. Before being elected as North Carolina's General Attorney, Roy Cooper was one of North Carolina's voices in the Senate. Prior to being the General Attorney and a Senator, Roy Cooper served in the House of Representatives, placed there by the good people of North Carolina. Roy Cooper has been representing North Carolina on a national level since 1986. 30 years in service to this great state, and he wants to improve it even more, by becoming North Carolina's Governor. In this new role, Roy Cooper has vowed to improve North Carolina by starting with its students. He has realized the importance of teachers in this mission, and he wants to raise teacher pay. There are people who are passionate about teaching the future of America, but they also have to pay bills. These great teachers are the priceless foundation to a better education for a child, and they must be paid as such. Teachers also need support, and that's where the teacher assistants come in; they have been getting laid off, and they are essential to getting children the education they deserve.
