Beaux-Arts architecture in Washington

I am visiting the serene city of Chatou, in north-central France where I have had the opportunity to view an Impressionist work of art by Pierre-Auguste Renoir that he painted in 1881 with oil on canvas titled Luncheon of the Boating Party. If you have a chance to visit Chatou, I highly recommend it. Chatou is a long, narrow island in the midst of the River Seine and is a nice getaway from the crowds in Paris.
