    Laura secord Many people know the story of Lara Secord but some of you may be a bit fuzzy on the details. Laura Secord was born Sep.t 13,1775 a Wednesday. When laura was 8 years old her mother died leaving Four little girls to her father. Her father remarried 3 times and had a large family, by his third wife. Laura was married at the age of 20 in 1797. She had six daughters and one son. She was married to James Secord a son of a loyalist. They first lived at St David's but then settled in Queenston. Early in the War of 1812, James, was wounded in the battle of Queenston Heights and was rescued from the battlefield by his wife. The next summer, when neither side had a firm hold of the Niagara peninsula, Laura overheard on 21st of June 1813,( because, oh I don’t know she was eavesdropping on the conversation) of some American officers dining at her house, that the Americans intended to surprise the British outpost at Beaver Dams and capture the officer in charge, Lieutenant…
