In summarizing, that is the story of my parents about how did they met and how did they settle their own lives. According to my grandfather Florencio Ochoa, Ochoa ancestor came from Spain. The meaning of Ochoa in the dictionary is a Basque surname common throughout Spain. It is a surname of patronymic origin; it was originally a given name in Medieval Spain. The name originated in the Basque Country and means "wolf" in the Basque language spelled otsoa in Standard Basque. A long time ago, my grandfather said that we had a Kastila ancestor. Kastila is a Tagalog word of Spaniard, which are the native or inhabitant of Spain, or a person of Spanish descent. Generally speaking, that’s where my family came from. According to my grandfather Florencio Ochoa, the story of how my family eventually got to Winnipeg is his brother Felicisimo Ochoa was the first one who migrated to Canada 45 years ago.
