    The Biography of Shakira Introduction Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll is a colombian singer and dancer. She was born to a lebanese father and a colombian mother. She has many arab and latin influences in her music due to her different heritages. She also has millions of supporters and fans and continues to do what she does best. Childhood An important part of her dancing started out when she was a child. She was went to eat and when she began to sit down she noticed a belly dancer, without a question she stood up, and started imitating the dance. It sparks in her memory as her yearning for performance while she was still a young child. Young Shakira always had a taste for performing for other kids. She joined her school’s choir but was then kicked out for her significant vibrato. But that never stopped the defiant child, she continued to perform for her fellow school students although she was kicked out of the school choir. Career Shakira would perform in local theaters. Her talent was spotted by one of the producers and gave her a chance to become a star by recommending her to audition for Ciro Vargas. She impressed the talent scouts and won a contract for three albums right after her thirteenth birthday. It sounds amazing that a thirteen year old could accomplish the types of dreams every girl would fantasize about. But, she made her dreams real.
