This summer we celebrated our 25th Anniversary with old and new friends along with Point Tupper residents that truly pioneered this association in the preservation of the community of Point Tupper. Our Association thanks you for your support for the last 25 years and I hope to garner more support in the next 25 years to come. This summer was a very busy summer for us this year with the 25th Anniversary of the Point Tupper Heritage Association long weekend events, our annual Causeway Tea and Closing Social. This summer we have seen a high volume of visitors coming through our doors to learn more about Point Tupper before Industrialization took over the area. For us it was lovely to see so many people interested in Point Tupper and to have even visitors discover roots to Point Tupper through chatting and looking through the albums. This summer we were able to add new pieces to our collection along with updating our ever-growing inventory list. This summer was filled with laughter and good memories and captivating stories of the past. It was great learning more about Cape Bretons’ hidden gem called Point Tupper. Our weekend started Friday, July 1st with our annual Canada Day breakfast where pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs and toast were served along with juice and tea.
