of his homosexuality. We can clearly see that Battcock is more exposed, sitting half naked in bright clothes. Both men were openly gay but maybe this use of color represents how each character went about it. Battcock is obviously embracing his homosexuality, at least that’s what we can decipher from the use of contrast in colors both men are wearing. If you were to take this painting and split it exactly down the middle, you could get two separate pictures and never even know either one were meant to be alongside the other. This shows the vertical symmetry of the piece. Both men appear to be looking in different directions and are seated on different furniture sets giving us the illusion that they might not even be in the same room. Neel balanced the visual weight with her use of oppsing colors on either side giving this piece a sense of harmony. The repeating blues play with the bright red and yellow giving us a balance og light and greater values. Perhaps the most important part of the piece that contributes greatly to its success is the content. Of course, theres the obvious content such as two men sitting staring into a distance. One man is dressed conservatively while the other is exposed in his underwear clothing. We dont need extra information to figure that out but the content we understand from this painting is what has such a big impact. First, you have to take into consideration when this piece was made, 1970. These years were not the most popular to be openly…

sounds. I keep one in the studio. This tool, like any other studio tool, is VERY easy to overuse. Don’t stop until you have finished every last bite of sugar-glazed gluttony. While one doughnut is delightful, eating the whole pile becomes a grueling marathon that may induce a sugar coma or projectile vomiting…

Listening to music reflected on my moods and I always preferred upbeat music because it kept it in a…
