    Clockwork is quite simple, each gear moves another, some gears may be smaller and some may be larger. Yet each gear remains in a constant system, running smoothly with each tooth landing in the same exact spot at the same exact time over and over and over. Strangely, the education system in America seems to be emulating this exact system. Yet if the american education system was a real clock, it would most likely be running backwards with 140 minutes in a hour. Education in the United States has aimed to achieve that perfect clockwork motion. Each student learns how to be a perfect gear, with each gear running correctly the system functions without a hitch. In theory producing more and more graduates that learn the material needed to succeed in the real world. Yet this exact way of thinking is destroying the system itself, this factory style is producing more and more gears, yet each gear is significantly weaker, some gears may break from the pressure, and other gears may just not want to be gears at all. You see, humans are not gears, every boy and girl is wired differently, learn differently, and experience differently. And each child is imbued with the innate gift to be curious and creative. These two things drive innovation and learning, a child who is curious will often stop at nothing until their curiosity is satisfied.
