Paid surrogate motherhood has become a subject undergoing intense research and scrutiny in recent years because of multiple cases, including baby M and many others. The process of artificial insemination is carried out using the intended father’s sperm in order to conceive the baby in the surrogate mother’s womb (4). With full surrogacy, In vitro fertilization is used to conceive the baby in the surrogate mother’s womb, and the intended…

Intro In the mid 1600s to early 1800s, the Rococo fashion was very popular(think Marie Antoinette). It, of course, like many other fashion trends, faded away. These two styles are very similar, given that the Victorian style is styled after the Rococo fashion, just less ribbons and frills. Of course, all good things must come to an end. Well, usually. The next 80 years or so would bring about…

In Ronald M. Green’s “Building a Baby From the Genes Up,” Green shares an anecdote, gives his support for genetic modification, addresses opposing arguments, refutes the opposing argument, and finishes with his support for genetic modification. His thesis is because genetic modification is already happening, we may as well embrace it and make it a part of our lives. In the other essay “Genetically Modified Humans? No Thanks” written by Richard Hayes, he addresses Green and his argument right off…
