The Weiss Energy Hall is arguably, one of the most technologically and scientifically advanced exhibition in the world. It is currently being expanded to its third iteration and will almost be the size of 30,00 square feet. Upon entering the new Energy Hall, visitors step off the elevator into a dynamic floor of an offshore drilling rig populated by a crew of sci-fi robots. There will also be a new gallery called “The Unconventional Hydrocarbon Revolution” that will show visitors on how shale oil and gas have changed the U.S.’s picture of energy. The most exciting part of the exhibit must be the “Energy City” which is a 2,500-square-foot 3-Dimensional landscape that represents Houston, the Gulf coastal waters next to it and the terrain of Texas. It will use bleeding-edge (a category of technologies so new that they could have a high risk of being unreliable) projection mapping technology to show the energy value chain. The Frensley/Graham Hall of African Wildlife exhibit focuses on the themes of African animal conservation and the ecology of it. It features state-of-the-art videos and interactable objects to better the experience. Look at over seven biomes highlighting different themes that relate to African Wildlife Ecology.
