Most people would hate if they could not watch their favorite player play the game that they love so much. “A positive test result in an athlete may lead to disqualification from a game or the loss of a medal” (“Drug Testing “). This loss of a medal or disqualification will destroy an athlete's reputation and name. If news of a positive drug test gets out that will forever change how you or anyone else views that athlete and it really makes you question if your favorite player was really that vigorous or if it was the drugs the whole time. A very well known Phillies player “Carlos Ruiz was found to have adderall in his system and was serving a 25 game suspension” (Major League baseball players…”) as well as “Donnie Sadler from the Arizona Diamondbacks who was suspended in July 2007 for using performance enhancing drugs” ( “Major League baseball players…”). All in all the lose of an athlete's job or medal is devastating for both the player and the fans. “Major League Baseball's drug policy—the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program—was established by agreement between the MLB Players Association and the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball [...]” ( “Major League Baseball…”). The goal was to deter and end the use of banned substances, including anabolic steroids and other illegal drugs, and to "provide for, in keeping with the overall purposes of the Program, an orderly, systematic, and cooperative resolution of any disputes that may arise concerning the existence,…
