    Pride and Prejudice is a romance novel written by Jane Austen and published in 1813. Pride and Prejudice is firstly a novel about surpassing obstacles and finding true love and happiness. The story follows the emotional development of the main character Elizabeth Bennet, one of the five daughters of Bennet family, who has the tendency to judge too quickly. As the story progress, Elizabeth learns the difference between the superficial and the essential, throughout her relationship with Mr. Darcy. So, it's undoubted that First Impressions play an important role in Pride and Prejudice. In fact, Jane Austen entitled initially the book “First Impressions” instead of Pride and Prejudice. The main characters, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, have both misunderstood each other. When they first meet each other in the ball Darcy is not impressed with Elizabeth and as a result he makes insulting and rude comments about her. More specifically, Darcy says to his good friend Mr Bingley that Elizabeth is not beautiful enough for him. Elizabeth overhears him and she forms the first impression about him; he is an arrogant, rude and extremely proud man. Although Darcy is a young man who is envied for his wealth and his good looking, Elizabeth feels a particular dislike to him because of his arrogant ways. Undoubtedly, in the beginning Darcy doesn't feel attracted to Elizabeth, but as the story evolves he starts to have feelings for her and eventually he proposes to her. However, his proposal is made…
