The term Evoke is used in practices by someone who is performing a ritual, a spell or casting a circle that is requiring the Evoking of a deity, god, goddess or a spirit to be honored. Another way the term Evoke can be used in practices is by use of a board to conjure up a spirit but, when one is using a board for Evoking one needs to be careful because that spirit that they are Evoking could be an evil spirit.
