J. P Sniadecki collected footage from 2011 to 2013 on China's humongous railway system, in order to present a film that uses everyday life inside the wagons to catch the essence of the modern Chinese society in the most realistic fashion. "The Iron Ministry" will screen at Bertha DocHouse on Monday, 28 August at 16:00, as part of On The Line, (25th - 28th August) a new season focusing on films which traverse the railways of the world. The documentary is actually split into two parts. The…
College and I saw the show on Thursday night of the second week. I recognized some of the major participants in this production such as that it was directed by Wendy S. Moore, whom I thought did a splendid job with this play. I also knew some major actors such as Jess Monsalve, who played Mahmoud In the production. He was amazing, and I truly felt that he embodied his character so well. I also recognized Kelly Ketzenberger, who is the wife of my Development…
but if she does, it will be a sad day in America. Julie Andrews has inspired me by bringing joy to everybody. She has also inspired so many other people. She has brought so much joy and spirit to the broadway world and has set an example of how actors should work. Julie is still in the business of theatre and movies and tv show at the age of 81. She is still doing what she loves. One thing that really stands out from Julie Andrews is her work ethic. She knows that she is probably the best…
I believe the movie is more impactful than the novel. There are three reasons why I think this, the movie had way better visuals, more drama and the movie showed me how the characters felt and showed graphic images of their wounds, therefore made me feel sympathetic, nervous and compassionate for the characters. The visuals in the movie were amazing. In the novel, I couldn’t easily picture what was going on. The visuals made so many emotions run through me. For instance, the shots from the sky…
This was my first time watching Vertigo and my god, what a masterpiece. It is, of course, as good as anyone says it is. This film is packed with fantastic suspense techniques, a whole lot of mystery and a great amount of unhealthy obsession. There is no doubt about it, Alfred Hitchcock executed this film to nearly perfection BUT this film would not be the masterpiece it is without another incredible genius, Bernard Herrmann. His compositions throughout the entire movie literally made the movie…
We Are Still Here is a film that I've been craving for awhile. I didn't know that I was at first, but once I was through to the end credits, I felt almost completely satisfied. I was only a little bit hungry for a better ending, but I'm watching my weight, so it's probably a good thing I wasn't stuffed. The flick had plenty of righteous stuff going for it. It had gore, it had spooks, it had chills and it had some awesome acting from most of cast, save for a couple people, who thankfully are…

authors casting choice can lead to the authenticity and themes of the play to be ineffective or completely changed beyond their original intent. Some suggest a perfect way to open further roles for actors and people of color is: What I am probing is the possibility of detaching role-characteristics from actor-characteristics. I am not arguing that Juliet’s gender or age or Othello’s color, or the servant Jean’s class (in Miss Julie) does not matter. Of course, these things matter—they are at…
consider different aspects of acting on stage and in front of the camera, which may be of value to aspiring actors. Refine the nuances It is self-evident that the two mediums are distinct and relatively autonomous and each requires a unique and nuanced skill set. For stage performances, it is gesticulation, movement and physical presence of the actor that are essential, whilst television and film actors are unlikely to be successful without honing subtleties of minor facial expressions. On your…
