    Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria was born December 1, 1949, in Rionegro, Antioquia, and died December 2, 1993, after he was considered to have been killed by Columbian police in Medellin, Columbia. Escobar married 15-year-old Maria Vitoria Henao in 1976, and later had a son named Juan Pablo Escobar, and a daughter named Manuela. From birth, Escobar was raised by his mother, a school teacher, and his father, who was a peasant farmer. Escobar began to steal vehicles at an early age and transitioned into smuggling cigarettes known as the "Marlboro Wars". Escobar advanced into the world of smuggling drugs as the country was notorious for smuggling marijuana and was later transitioned to cocaine as cocaine dominated marijuana and was easily grown in the exceptional cultivations of Peru and Bolivia. Columbia was becoming the new leader in cocaine smuggling and marketing in the U.S., but the only problem was that Fabio Restrepo was the largest smuggler of cocaine to the U.S. and not Escobar. It is believed that Restrepo was murdered by a designee of Escobar and was the operation was taken over by Escobar and expanded. Escobar took the new business a step further and began to dictate the smuggling of large amounts of coca paste, purchased in Peru and Bolivia, to be transported to the U.S. after it was processed. This led to a financial gain on Escobar's part and to the formation of his group known as the Medellin Cartel was formed between several other dealers (Pablo Escobar, 2017).…
