Morrison once said, “Superman is us, in our dreams. He lives our lives but on an epic canvas”. In light of the Golden Age, Superman was an iconic hero with unlimited abilities that could solve real life issues. He embodied the superhero archetype, fighting crime for the greater good of society, saving the damsel in distress and wielding boundless power. With the launch of Superman in 1938, Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster catalyzed what is today known as, the Golden Age. In All Star Superman, Grant Morrison attempts to synthesis previous Superman stories and interpretations by creating a timeless piece.
