    the song Gold by Britt Nicole, talks about how your worth more than what people say you are, to have confidence in yourself and to believe in yourself. So many other artists portray this type of music like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. Each artist represents a positive view of themselves which adds an additional plus to them being role models to society. For instance, Alicia Keys who is a powerful figure that society looks up too, has started a ban on wearing make-up. She believes that everyone should be proud of what they look like without it. She told cosmopolitan magazine that “women are brainwashed into feeling like we have to be skinny, or sexy, or desirable, or perfect. One of the many things I was tired of was the constant judgment of women” (Morosini & Capon, 2016). She also talked about how all women are stereotyped to think that being super skinny is normal, which it is not (Morosini & Capon, 2016). Just by this movement, Alicia Keys has made a huge impact not just on society but on girls everywhere! Because of how much society looks at not just the music itself, but the artist, Alicia Keys would have not been able to get this message across. Another positive influence music has on society would be that it can help children get better grades in school.
