    “The best for their career” Lance Armstrong spent years vehemently denying his use of performance enhancing drugs, while literally dominating the world of cycling, amazing cash winnings, media attention and a worldwide following. After seven consecutive wins at the Tour de France, he was outed for his long-time doping use and in 2012 was stripped of all titles, and banned for life from competitive cycling. (Emily Kendy). Doping was the reason Mr. Armstrong had all of his success in competitive cycling. He was so successful with his career and his doping he had got a nike sponsorship for his achievement.I feel that he saw that he needed to dope in order to achieve not only his goals but his dream. Unfortunately he was striped from his titles and he then was banned from the sport he loved because he admitted to it. He was not the only one who felt the need to dope because there's still people today that dope for every race, game, or match. Although athletes taking performance enhancing drugs is illegal , athletes should be able to take performance enhancing substances because they see fit, it is best for their career, and the records set by legends. Athletes should be able to take performance enhancing substances when they see fit because athletes will do what they feel is the best for their career.
