    The Generation of Technology Technology keeps advancing and every time it does it keeps pushing people away from each other. Technology is a great thing humans made as in helping people and the world all together, but it does have its flaws. In addition, It has brought advances to science! It has also caused loneliness. The art of technology brings the feeling of being ignored, lack of responsibility, and separation from others. Fixing problems is what humans do. This is exactly what Japan did. In the article, “The rise of the Robot Pet,” by Elena Soto, it tells a story of finding an answer to a problem by using robots.There are not enough young people to take care of the elderly in Japan . So, Japan made a robotic seal named paro that helps the elderly. In the article, Soto explains, ”... a number of benefits of robotic pets” (Soto), some of these benefits are increasing their happiness and reducing their stress levels. This cute robotic seal is very helpful, but it can cause problems. For example, it can malfunction at any time. “... the robot malfunctioned and the subject, a young girl, assumed that the robot no longer liked her” (Mullin). When technology has a “break down” it can leave children sad, alone, confused, and rejected.
