    Simmons and Paul Stanley formed Kiss who as a group, created a legacy because of their costumes and behaviour. They had a hard time finding other members, an amazing legacy, and a member going away. The band Kiss was all in separate bands. In their teens, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley got in a band together, while the other members were in local bands . In 1973, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley got together, and the whole group all were in local bands when they were teens. Paul Stanley grew up in Manhattan and the other members were in other cities in New York, but all became interested in music in their teenage years (Stambler, 1989). Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley found Peter Criss by an ad in the Rolling Stone Magazine. They sooner found Ace Frehley by putting in an ad in the Village Voice after playing as a trio (“Kiss”, 1983). Kiss had a great start once they made their break. Paul Stanley came up with the group’s name by them just tossing around ideas until one stuck to them ( Weintraub, 2009). A year after getting signed into Casablanca records, they had three albums out with a huge success. "Rock and Roll All Nite" climbed to the 12 spot in the summer of 1975 after the release of Alive!, it later it came a big US hit. Kiss got platinum albums for "Beth" and "Rock and Roll All Nite" soon after "Destroyer" reached the US Top 10 and "Alive!" became their first certified platinum album in the USA (“Kiss” 2002).
